Ready to take your candle skills to the next level? In this intermediate class, you’ll explore the art of swirl candles- a colorful, creative twist on classic candle making. Using soy wax, cotton wicks, and phthalate-free fragrance oils, you’ll learn how to mix colors and create beautiful swirl patterns that make every candle one-of-a-kind. With the ability to blend up to two fragrance oils, your candle will be as unique in scent as it is in design.
In this class, you will learn (but not limited to):
• How to properly mix and layer colored wax
• Techniques to achieve swirl and marbled effects
• How to combine fragrance oils for a custom scent
• How to finish and polish your swirl candle
This class is recommended for students who have taken our Candle Making 101 or who already have basic candle making knowledge. Students under 15 must have a parent or guardian present.
All students must wear long pants and closed-toe-shoes. Anyone who does not adhere to the dress code cannot participate in the class and will not be refunded.
Because soy candles require curing time to achieve the best fragrance throw, your candles will be ready to take home at the end of class, but will need an additional 1-2 weeks of curing, before lighting for the strongest scent.
