Laser: Snow Globe Ornament

Overview: Celebrate this holiday season with an ornament designed with your personal touch. We will use the Xtool M1 Ultra to make a 5-layer ornament that shakes like a snow globe (Minus the liquid).

In this class, you will learn:
– How to Engrave/Score and/ or Print using the Xtool M1 Ultra
– The basics on how to use XCS (Design program used for Xtool laser cutters)

Things/info you will need:
– We have 3 computers that can be shared among students. I recommend bringing your
laptop and downloading XCS (Free Design Program) just in case more than three people
join the class
– Customizable templates will be available
+Keep in mind that the printer can not print true black or white because it only uses a CMYK ink
Cartridge. This means black comes out closer to dark grey and white/ lighter colors are a little
transparent (Not opaque)+

Rules:
– This class is open to all skill levels. Ages 10+. Students under 15 must have a
parent/guardian present.
– All students must wear closed-toed shoes. Anyone who does not adhere to the dress
code cannot participate in the class and will not be refunded.
– All Ornaments must be glued with epoxy to ensure the strength of the connection (24
hours to cure). Because of this, items can be picked up the next day or they can be
shipped to you.
