Overview: Celebrate the season with sparkle in our beginner-friendly flameworking class! In this festive workshop, you’ll learn to shape molten glass into elegant icicle ornaments—perfect for adding a handmade touch to your holiday décor. Discover the basics of working with the torch as you twist and pull glass into shimmering forms that capture the magic of winter. No experience needed—just bring your holiday spirit!
In this class, you will learn the basics of flameworking including (but not limited to):
-How to gather glass
-How to flame polish glass
-Various color applications
-How to shape solid glass
This class is open to all experience levels. Students under 15 must have a parent/guardian present.
All students must wear long pants, closed toed shoes, and tie long hair back. Anyone who does not adhere to the dress code cannot participate in the class and will not be refunded.
All glass work must be annealed (slow, controlled cooling process) to ensure strength of glass. Because of this, items can be picked up a maximum of one week later, or shipped.
Broken glass is part of the learning process! Molten Makerspace, LLC. is not responsible for repairs of broken glassworks.
